From my wall calendar, by Monet. I particularly like the white hollyhocks, which I suspect were actually red but painted white to mirror the woman. No evidence for this, but I wonder.
Had a hair cut today and finished a sewing project. D and I read more Emerson and were puzzled; he’s almost reached the chapter in the biography of Emerson about this essay, so I’m looking forward to an explanation.
We had six courgettes so I made soup, which takes me back to our allotment days.
I had my last Quaker course meeting last evening. There were some challenging questions asked; the discussions were good but too short. Being able to.split into small groups on Zoom is a real benefit, although I’m sure we would all prefer to meet in person if it were possible. But then we would miss the participants from other countries.
