Dame Jeanne

The Dame Jeanne wooden boat of the Association Jeanne Camille takes to the water with a few happy crew onboard. The evening before the Fete au Thoureil on the Loire is traditionally tarnished with bad weather. So cloudy skies and a cold wind are not going to stop the fun! 40 wooden boats have already arrived from toue cabanee, futreau, plats, barques and gabares. The 110 odd crew are eagerly awaiting the traditional 'soupe' we have been preparing since 9am this morning when we started chopping vegetables! Let's hope for sunny skies tomorrow and not too many hangovers!
