Big Kentucky storm last night!

We all woke up as a large thunder/lightening/rain/hail/wind storm hit late last night early this morning.  The storms we get like this at home do not have the same intensity. At home the sky is black and you see a jagged lightning strike.  Here the whole sky turn white like daytime then pitch black again.  The sound of thunder was very loud.  The rain in the northwest (back home) is well known but it is more steady, last night the amount of rain that fell in a very short time was amazing.  Huge hail not the little 1/4 inch size we have at home, some places it as 2 inches (it was not that big right here, last night but it was large).  The wind was so strong two trees in then parking lot cracked apart and went down.  We were glad they missed the cars.  Mid storm the electricity went out, by morning it was back on in time to have coffee.

I cooked food to fill sons freezer this morning and husband and I went out on an errand this afternoon.  Waiting for son to get home from work now.
