Ospreys

Drove down from Kirkhill to Edinburgh today and stopped off at the RSPB reserve at Boat  of Garten in the Cairngorms, where there are ospreys nesting. The chicks are almost fully fledged and are very close to flying but it was quite windy today so they seemed happy to just sit and wait for dad to bring them a nice bit of fish. Today's blip is not dad, but mum apparently bringing a twig in to the nest with the two chicks watching. The extra is mum keeping guard over the nest from a nearby tree.
