The Party's Over

Tonight we had the last ever AGM of Derby Photographic Society.  Established in 1884, we've reached the end of the road.  We have 11 members, more than half of which are 75 or older.  There are no new members, no momentum, no future.    The motion to be voted on was to merge with Rolls Royce Photographic Society.  Carried. 

I feel sad for the older members, some of whom have been involved for more than 50 years.  We raised a glass to the end of an era.
