Sunflower

On what would have been my Mum's 88th birthday I headed to some gardens in search of the subject of one of her favourite paintings, Sunflowers by Vincent Van Gogh.  

She would have loved this garden lying along side the River Test, with its tributary, the aptly named Spring Ditch running through it containing crystal clear spring water bubbling up from the underlying chalk aquiter.

I found some sunflowers in the walled garden, and completed my day with a cream tea sitting on the patio overlooking this area.
