Some of the wildflowers that are growing on my river bank.   From left - Fleabane (yellow), Pendulous Sedge, Purple Loosestrife and Rose Bay WIllow Herb.   Water mint is growing further along the bank.
Apart from the pots that I'm keeping watered these are the only plants thriving in my parched garden at present.
I cut back most of the dried out plants in the borders this afternoon, I usually leave them over winter for the insects but most were just lying limp on the ground, so sad to see.
