Two bees or not two bees?

Tiny Tuesday: Bombus pascuorum 


I was in two minds which of today's two shots I should feature.  In the end I've given you both shots.  The main displays the bees long tongue fully extended, and the rather more difficult to achieve shot of a bee flying at the camera has been relegated to the extra slot.  

With both of these I set out to achieve a very shallow depth of field, with a nicely out of focus backdrop, but I appreciate that this approach does not meet the requirements of a the dedicated entomologist!
