The Girl in the Cafe
We were so taken with the lovely girls sitting next to us at the communal table at the cafe. They were so confidant and well mannered. So engaged with one another and their mother. As it turns out there were far less then six degrees of separation between us . They are at school with my godson and his little sister who apparently is the pet of many a big girl. We talked about baking and eleven plus exams and I squeezed into the corner so I could take their portraits. The light was so strong and even hiding behind the wall they struggled not to squint. She had the loveliest green eyes but I liked the tones of her hair in b&w. They were such an enchanting little family.
