Thistles?

A dull, grey day today which is a shock after the hot days we have had recently. Not feeling very energetic, I just walked into town for lunch. I have been watching these ‘thistles’ growing on a piece of waste land where a house once stood. I had to stand on tip toe to get my phone above the metal fence. They look quite menacing but are a lovely colour.
