Eventful day

It has been very difficult to choose a photo for today's blip as so many eventful things have happened. At 10 am joined a long line to try and get Mowtown the musical tickets and guess what managed to get some great seats for 147 dollars each, we have now given up counting the cost of things. Next we spent a boring couple of hours looking around the 'intrepid battle ship - jeffs choice ' visited ground zero on a hop off hop on water taxi. The memorial fountains were stunning. Ended the day at the theatre followed by a lovely Italian meal at Tony's and to top it off my lovely sister in law arranged for a birthday cake for me which was accompanied by a lovely waitress singing happy birthday in the most amazing voice, she could give Catherine Jenkins a run for her money, i told her she should be on broadway and she said " thats the plan". However none of these things have made the blip photo. The photo is of the hotel staff trying to release jeff from the lift which he was stuck in for 45 minutes. Tony even joined in the rescue attempt when they were struggling to release him (jeff is claustrophic and not keen on lifts) as an apology from the hotel received a 200 dollar voucher off Tony's restaurant - result. What an amazing day we have had today. Tomorrow we will be travelling home.
