Seeing red

Gorgeous little bunchlet from the garden this morning.  Rescued a few (a very few and very small) sweet peas from the garden and made a little vaseful with a few other people from the garden. There is a hot wind blowing today and the garden is going from sparse to crisp as I watch it. 
As Monty Don says we will have to adapt.. but.. it will be expensive..
Time to take cuttings from the plants that are thriving perhaps and just keep those for next year. Even my sun loving salvia have collapsed.. oh well.
