Wood anemones in the sun
It looked like the weather was going to behave, so I went to Coombe Woods in Croydon to see if I could begin to get my photographic eye back. (I haven't done much photography over the last year or so, partly due to lack of hard disk space on my crumbly old laptop, and partly down to the pants weather last year, I think!)
The gardens there look lovely at the moment - lots of tulips, marsh marigolds in the stream, blossom trees, and all manner of plants that I don't stand a chance of naming.
Took lots of pics, not all successful - need to re-read some bits of my manual, I think! But I just loved the way the sunlight was coming through the petals of these flowers, wood anemones I believe (if not, would someone please be kind enough to put me straight!), They looked more attractive from behind than from the front, due to the direction of the light, so that's the angle I used.
