Colorado Day

August 1, 1876, is the day Colorado joined the Union. So now August 1 is called Colorado Day and entry into any of our State Parks is free.
So off I went to nearby Mueller State Park and had a nice 3 mile hike. My favorite part was seeing some wild flowers, like the Orange Paintbrush above. My least favorite part was rushing to get back to the car before a huge thunderstorm. All's well that ends well.
