Bleached butterfly

G called me to see this find. He was soaking something in a bucket with water and bleach, and this poor butterfly must have landed in it and couldn't get out.  I'm amazed at how its wings look! I tried a few shots and I liked this one with a bit of its shadow. 
We brought it in the house to dry, and G called me again to see what had happened to it. As it dried, its wings started to close and it was almost upright. I couldn't get a decent shot of it. I'll see how it looks tomorrow and maybe give it another try. This would have been a good subject for focus stacking. Some day I'll experiment with that when I have time.
Much cooler this morning with some clouds drifting in, but the heat returned in the afternoon.
