Jupiter and Saturn
I need to explain. I am looking forward to getting some amazing shots of these planets with my planetary camera that hasn't actually seen a planet yet.
Half the battle is getting the focus spot on. I haven't got the funds for fancy electronic computer controlled focusing but this homemade jobby does almost as well. It's called a Bahtinov mask and when put over the telescope lens causes stars to appear with six points. Perfect focus is achieved when all six points align symmetrically; easy, effective and cheap!
Watch this space for upcoming planets, space... planets... I don't know why I bother.
