Aah. Not quite to plan!

Everyone up & ready early. Which wasn’t easy after a family wedding. HatBox, SkyeMan and WelshLad staying but they left after us.

Tube to airport. Tricky with Elbows hopping along but helped by SkyeMan driving us to Southgate.

Got through busy stages at the airport, got a coffee. Told flight delayed 3 hours. Submitted. Got a snack and bedded in. 2 hours in. Told flight delayed further. Ah. Submitted again and bedded in.

Literally bumped into IrishLass and had delightful food with her. She was called to her gate and we were called to our gate and off we trundled. More delay.

Finally boarded. More delay. Getting a little ridiculous but hey. It’s ok. So left Heathrow 5.5 hours late.

Arrived Istanbul. More delay in a different airport. Met friend Ali. Sorted ourselves out into 2 cars and set off on a 3 hour journey south. Cars got separated. 5 hours later arrived at our destination.

By the time we’d found our rooms and lugged luggage up, dawn had arrived too. Nice view!

We were here 4 years ago and we loved it last time. So it was a 24 hour day awake but it’ll be wonderful to be here for the week.

We’re on Cunda Island. It’s beautiful.
