Fuchsia
After yesterdays' glorious sunshine we are back in dense, fat, thick, warm, mizzle - urghh. Still I had a useful morning cleaning - it has to be done sometimes - and then we went for a walk around the circuit, abandoning layers of clothes as we went it was so sweaty!
The fuchsia hedges are looking amazing - the symbol of West Cork, it's not an indigenous species but is one that seems to be looked on favourably unlike rhododendrons. Combined with montbretia, another interloper, the colours are fabulous, even on a seriously wet day.
And it's August. We can finally say we're going to New Zealand this month! Yikes!
