Checking the sunflower II

When we last checked the sunflower, it was definitely smaller than Violet, and today it is almost as tall as her.  No doubt when she returns from her holiday in Greece with her daddy, it will be taller and the flower will have fully opened.
We had a family BBQ at lunchtime today, before V had to leave us and the weather was warm, overcast but unfortunately rain free.  We did eat indoors though,  as the year seems to be especially 'waspy' and they seemed to have arrived rather early.
This evening we watched The Match.  I am more than delighted to say that, thanks to the Lionesses, football has finally come home!
