The Redfern Bower

A contemporary sculpture inspired by the courtship ritual of the Satin Bowerbird. The male uses twigs to build a bower, decorating the floor with shells, feathers, stones and items like clothes pegs and beads to attract females. Blue items feature. And he plays with perspective, placing smaller pieces closer to the entrance and re-arranging them if a pesky biologist messes with the geometry.

Susan Milne and Greg Stonehouse’s artwork has blue items set into the pavement.

Thanks for this interesting challenge Mole.
