Pears

An early start for an early appointment with the dentist.  A bit over an hour or so later I was back at home and ready for coffee #2.  We're almost there - only one - maybe two - more appointments.  Fingers crossed.  

Picked Gerty up from the mechanics - they've been unable to find anything wrong and she starts just fine.  Even the frost this morning didn't affect her, though it was in no way comparable to the Twizel experience.  They're at a loss to explain her ills, let alone fix them.

Rest of the day spent catching up on the overnight Commonwealth Games action.  Unlike the last 2 super-successful days, last night held mixed results.  There's nothing quite like a painful loss to stir the desire to be better next time.  It does seem like New Zealand rugby in general isn't having a great time on the international stage lately.
