Maropeng

After a fairly lazy start to the day we took ourselves off to the Cradle of Mankind, and the Maropeng Heritage Centre.

Our visit was for me to see the statues that symbolized the long march to freedom. Arnie had seen them when he visited in 2019 with Susan, this is one of his pics from then.

The only problem was that they were a visiting exhibit then, and had been long gone before our visit today. A wee Google may have saved an unnecessary journey but it was a good day out, and our late lunch on the way home was worth the outing.
