Flossmo

Blues in the Meadow

This morning I got on with some chores: ironing, gardening and cleaning the garage. But this afternoon Mr Flossmo and I took ourselves down to Gostrey Meadow in Farnham for some live music.

Farnham Town Council  organises free music shows each summer - about half a dozen or so - on Sunday afternoons. On a nice sunny day there is nothing better that relaxing to music but so often something else crops up. But today was rhythm and blues and I was determined to be there.

I wasn't disappointed. The Flying Tigers put on a super show, mostly covering R&B classics from the likes of The Stones, John Mayall, Eric Clapton, Chuck Berry and Dr Feelgood. It was foot tapping, sing-along stuff and the two hours went by far too quickly.

It was really nice to see lots of people bring their chairs, dogs and picnics and enjoy the atmosphere. There were even a few people dancing. It was all so good-natured.  And all for free. Being a Sunday even the parking was free. Bravo Farnham Town Council for setting it up and thank you to the Flying Tigers (see extra for close up) for a great time.
