Lucky...

I was lucky with the weather today - a couple of hours walking on the beach & another one later on + dry at the bee-eaters. It's pouring down now, but still pretty warm.

My main blip was a surprise - a grayling feeding on sea holly as I walked back to the car. Great to watch the little terns feeding their young on the beach. There's an RSPB guide there who makes sure that people don't get too close & that dogs are on a lead. Quite right too! I then drove up the coast to go and see the bee-eaters. I've never seen one before - they were distant but lovely views in the sunshine of them flying. :)
