Splish splash swallow

The weather Gods listened and today - sunshine!  A trip to catch up with my swallows at the Boulder Bank ponds was good.......v-e-r-y good.  So nice to sit in the sunshine and watch the world go by.......swallows ducking and diving, dog walkers walking, hopeful surfers heading out to catch a break, tired (or disappointed?) surfers returning from their watery outings.  It's a rhythm I rather enjoy.

And this pic - not the clearest but I was happy to capture this.  In the quiet of the surroundings I was surprised to hear a splashing sound, and even more surprised to see this chap take three or four dips into the water.  No mean feat when he was zipping across the pond at the speed he was.  They are such interesting wee things.
