Take off

An Air Glacier helicopter was parked in Barboleuse today as part of the build up to the August 1st celebrations. We met some friends there just as the helicopter took off. So impressive to watch it fly away.
There was a concert in too with a Rolling Stones tribute band. The Mick Jagger look alike really did look like him.

We had an early start as the boys were up and eager to set off walking at 5am. We gave them breakfast and said goodbye. I can hardly lift their backpacks as they’re so heavy. They’ve got 6-7 days walking ahead of them to finish the route.

There was fresh snow on the Eiger as we set off for home. Stopped for coffee at Zweisimmen on the way.
