We tried it, the Tik Tok trend of putting your dog into a grooming hammock to cut their nails. And you know? It worked GREAT!

Mace has a terrible time with anxiety over his nails due to a bad experience at the vets once. So much so that we’d have to sedate him fully just for a 5 minute nail trim. It was hard on him and it was hard on our wallet.

When I saw these on Amazon, I knew it was a must try. He was a bit unsure about it, but we often dress him up so I’m sure he thought it was another costume. Until we hung him up in the garage.

Even then though, he casually hung there without much struggle or anxiety. In fact, I believe he enjoyed it. The family stood by and praised him while I snuck around to each paw trimming the nails.

He got plenty of treats at the end and we were all thrilled with the result!
