Leslie's Cross

The crisply carved Leslie's Cross outside Chapel of Garioch Kirk. The Cross was erected on the 600th Anniverary of the Battle of Harlaw and commemorates members of Clan Leslie who fell in the battle.

I liked the contrast between the crisply carved granite of the Cross and the rough hewn granite of the kirk walls. The polished red granite of the Cross and the grayish pink of the carved panels beautifully complement the tones of the walls.
