The Hoad Monument, Ulverston

Known locally as the pepperpot the Hoad Monument was built to honour Sir John Barrow. It stands overlooking the town of Ulverston.

We went past this morning after my daughter was finally discharged from hospital. Her operation went well yesterday but she took a long time to recover so she had stay in the night. So I 'slept' next to her in the ward. At home now recovering.
