Tomatoes and more tomatoes
Before I started cooking I had a quick walk around the garden. Two fledged pigeons on the pergola driving Stanley mad, I did take a couple of shots but I was won over with the sempervivum ( common leek).
Back to the cooking, I slow roasted 3lbs of little tommies and used 6lbs of larger one and made a big pot of spaghetti sauce, some for tonight’s dinner and two lots for the freezer.tomorrow I will tackle the mountain of cucumbers. Think I need put a table at the end of the drive.
Mr PC dropped tomatoes,cucumbers,jam and pickles at our friends house, then he cut the beech hedge and fixed the gate.
Having a well earned glass of red or two.
