Fading orchid

This morning Mr Rat went for a cycle with a couple of friends and so I went for a run. I decided I needed a bit more practice on hills so ran to the top of the woods and then divided it into 4 sections and did each twice more, a total of about 200m up (and down) in 4 & a half miles. This solitary orchid was still surviving in the wood, if a bit faded.
Hot and sticky, I returned home for a shower and a bacon roll and a rest. 
The rest didn't last very long as there was gardening to do, but nothing too strenuous.
The sun is still shining and I took the opportunity of good light to get some more sewing done.
