Friday walk
Out early (for me!) this morning and joined AuntieP for a walk. It had been raining heavily, but sounded worse from inside, and had actually eased off when we met up. Having decided that the moor would probably be too soggy, we made our way to Sandy Banks, and up to the folly and through Cottingley Woods. We then crossed the deserted golf course and passed over the bridge to Beckfoot, seeing a lone Dipper in the beck. Across onto St Ives and the rain started to come down steadily again, so we crossed the bottom field and then made our way into the woods for some shelter. Back in the village before 09:30 so went home to dry off and then went up to the garden centre to see if anyone turned up for coffee, as in the school holidays it is our alternative meet up to the Tittle Tattle Teashop. AuntieP and B there plus 3 others from the Congs. Lots of chat and coffee, and then when the others left I had a good look round the garden centre. Nothing purchased, but a few ideas. Collage of the folly, golf course, bridge and one of the driveways with lovely bright geraniums.
