Saturday Cygnets

I spent ages swithering which image to blip from today's shots, but have decided on this family group that I spotted on the canal this afternoon: mother swan and her four teenage cygnets. The dad was there too, but I couldn't fit him into the frame.

Earlier this morning I met up with pal Nancy for coffee and a blether in the café at Gavin's Mill in Milngavie. I enjoyed a freshly-baked cranberry-and-coconut scone with my cappuccino.

We discovered a fabulous Fair Trade and Zero Waste shop upstairs, as well as an excellent display of fabric banners on the theme of 'Saving the Earth' on the walls. See extra.
