Standing tall

One set of neighbours are away which gave me the opportunity to cut back their laurel bush that is getting too tall.  I still have several other shrubs that need attention but I've filled the green bin.

The wrens are still busy pottering around and I caught one having a dust bath behind the conservatory.  After lunch I sat quietly and watched this parent feeding a couple of youngsters, and took this picture from about eight feet away.  Every now and then it goes and crashes out on one of the gate posts, taking the weight off its feet.
