shibuya
at the world's busiest intersection in Shibuya. and Hachiko is somewhere nearby.
----------
today was a fun day. i went to Ginza to meet up with Marlan, but he was busy with stuff so i napped. then we went to Shibuya for a meeting. then later that evening, we went to Asakusa to help host a dinner party thing. it was cool. i met a guitarist from a j-rock band that i never heard of, and he was drunk and wanted my number. and i also met a Japanese model, a reporter, and an otaku.
i now understand why so many people walk around with suitcases...it's because they have a secret life! otaku (or geeks) are frowned upon here, so all the geeks stayed in the closet...as in they don't talk about or share their fandom. American otaku are friggin' proud to be an otaku sometimes, and you'll wish they'd stop talking about their fandom to you. when i told the girl about American otaku, she said she was jealous and wish she lives in America. meanwhile, all the American otaku wish they were in Japan. the grass is always greener.
interesting stuff.
