A day in the life

Bye Lund

I've had a very successful holiday in Denmark and the Swedish region Skåne, during the past week. Meetings with family, friends and places has been a good mixture of friendly chat and deep conversation. The past is a long way away and conversations tended to move around events and developments in the present and near future, which makes it more interesting.
Just before I left the city of Lund at noon, Elaine and me had a light lunch at the Botanical Garden in Lund. The garden has been at its present place since 1865 but Lund university has had a botanical garden since the end of 1600.
Apart from being a fantastic garden to stroll around in, it also has a famous Orangerie and greenhouse, with nine separate sections of typical plants. These Australian carnivorous Pitcher plants are in the Victoria tropical room.
After a three and a half hour drive I'm safely and happily home.
