Sedum 'Purple Emperor'

An Open Gardens purchase £3 .... an absolute bargain!
An early visit to the plot fed the tomatoes, runner beans, squash, & courgettes. Then up to the Coop to pick up some shopping for Mum, then down to Mum's to do some gardening. Got there around 7.30-ish, pruned the vicious pyracantha, tidied up some of the other shrubs, finished and back home by 10.30. Did some laundry, watered a few plants in the garden struggling in the heat. Had messages from Jan, & other friends wanting to make arrangements for catch ups. Had a FB chat with Jude in Bendigo. Then I popped over to see Jan for a coffee & chat. She's got a couple of holidays booked, when I need to look after Jorgie. Got that sorted, then off to Tesco's to pick up whisky for hubby. Back home by 4pm. Watched the last couple of races from Glorious Goodwood, then it was cider time. Yipee!
Made a spicy curry for hubby, and allotment veggies in a wine & cream sauce with gnocchi for me.
