Zebras

I made a small clock this morning as an apology for my tardiness in getting my niece's family pictures sent off to her. There is also a spinning top and a tiny lidded pot in the box which was posted this afternoon.

While I was at the Post Office I tried to send a load of stamps to be exchanged for the new, bar-coded ones.
However, because there is no Post Code with the 'address' to send them to I was unable to get any kind of tracking or insurance on the package and since every postal worker will know what is in the package and worth nicking I was not prepared to send it ...... but there is an alternative plan now in place that will have it insured.

I made these two spinning tops from a piece of Zebrano (common name - Zebra Wood) I found when tidying up the other day. It is a lovely wood (and almost impossible to buy .... certainly in the sizes of my two pieces).
