Hello summer

Up and out by 9:30am, again without interaction, and a walk to Gunwharf Quays. We grabbed a coffee at the Costa and went to the terminal for the 10:15 ferry to Ryde.  We had a little walk to see tin Ryde and then back to get the train to Shanklin. 

After buying a few things in the Co-op we walked down towards the sea front to find the beach hut we had rented for the day.  

It was a glorious afternoon. We sat on chairs in front of the beach hut reading and listening to music. PY went to buy fish and chips from a nearby chip shop - and we had them with the mini bottles of wine we’d picked up in Ryde Sainsburys. 

At one point there was a moment of rain so we sheltered inside and came back outside when it had stopped.  It was a fantastic way to spent a bank holiday. 

We were on a train back to Ryde after 5pm and then the boat and 6:15pm train back to Raynes Park. We got some bits from our local Co-op for dinner and we’re home before 8:30pm.
