Arthur meets Freya .28.07.22

It was so sweet to see Arthur meet his baby sister Freya.
We got a call just after midnight to say that Jess had gone into labour so could we pick up Arthur. After a hurried drive across town we arrived to find Arthur in the arms of his daddy who was also on the phone to the paramedics being given instructions. As we whisked Arthur away through the front door
Freya made her appearance, 40 minutes in total after the first twinge . Our daughter , who is always prepared for every eventuality was hoping for a water birth at the birthing centre but as her first baby only took a couple of hours to arrive she had also planned for a home birth . As it was,Freya arrived before either the ambulance or midwives. And all is well with both mother and baby .
In the meantime, we had one excited wide awake boy . We had a midnight feast and read stories into the early hours before he finally went to sleep .
