Window on Life

A stained glass window in St Thomas' hospital.

This stained glass window was
commissioned by the Guy's and
St. Thomas' Charitable Foundation
in 2000. It represents a unique fusion
between modern science and a
thousand year old craft. The work
tells the story of how, during
evolution, many developmental
mechanisms in the embryos of
simpler animals have been
conserved in humans.
