Ready to fly

A Black-browed Albatross chick, mostly shed of its down, stretching its wings.

The first few have fledged and departed but the majority of the colonies are around this stage; near-ready and spending a lot of time with wings outstretched, flapping and jumping up and down. Exercising those flight muscles and getting the feeling of the wind through their wings before taking that initial plunge.
