Bookshelf

Some people were talking about adverts they'd seen for 'bookshelf books' - books that are sold to be looked at rather than read. They weren't in favour! So I took a photo of my own nearest bookshelf but it's not a fair reflection of what I'm reading because I use my Kindle such a lot. And I barely use the German dictionary when DeepL and Google translate are available.

Our new freezer came today and it's all new and squeaky clean. We get a grocery  delivery tomorrow, so we'll turn it on tomorrow morning. I had to clear a path from the back door to the freezer, so I did some hoovering and cleaning up. 

The freezer is in our garage, which is rather warmer than I'd like for a freezer being the home of the boiler, the main hot water tank, and the tumble dryer. Oh well, the last freezer lasted 12 years so let's hope this one does. It has a five year guarantee at least.

Then I cleaned the kitchen sink and the window ledge, where the houseplants had been scattering leaves and earth. The houseplants did it, you'll notice, nothing to do with the way I water them.

Later I had a bike ride and cooked dinner. Today is done.
