Camouflaged
I was desperately looking for a blip this afternoon, but there were no birds around, the butterflies were too high on the buddleia with wings closed, and there were few bees around. I thought I'd look on the Pyracantha hedge to see if I could see anything and nearly walked straight by this dragonfly as it blended in so perfectly. I've edited it in a way that draws it out a bit more. I think it's a male migrant hawker. Today I've been finishing painting the trellis on top of my back fence from the field side. I feel so tired after getting on and off a step stool and working with my paintbrush hand above my head for 3 hours! Nice to get the bedding washed and dried outside in only a few hours.
