Painting and potting
It would be good to have something new and exciting to Blip, such as a previously-thought-to-be extinct sealion in an underwater cave on a tiny islet off the coast of the island of Floreana in the Galapagos, but that will have to wait until next week.
Today is the same old, same old; a visit to the Walled Garden this morning to check and weed. The runner beans are very slowly ascending the canes, but at least all the later sowings of peas have germinated well.
Working outside this afternoon. I've spent the last warm, sunny hour or so painting the woodworking bench which will go into the greenhouse as a potting bench. As it was 2cm too wide to get through the door I previously spent another hour trying to take out a dozen or more rusty screws to enable me to take off one of the side panels and part of the top. Anyway It was finally treated and when it's in the greenhouse I'll screw the two pieces back on.
Back indoors for a cuppa while the bench dries in the sun. Then I look outside - it's beginning to rain! Tough.
