Exploding seeds

I had the best day - I took some time to do some CPD at an amazing Family Centre in Barrhead, where I spent time with the inspirational and thought provoking Rosie.
The organisation and whole set for their Woodland Wonders is indeed a wonder. Dedicated and motivating staff provided real quality experiences for the children. Here is an action shot of the most amazing session on seed planting.
1. Attach a balloon to a funnel
2. Hold out your hand and sprinkle some seeds into your palm
3. Carefully put the seeds into the funnel
4. Remove the funnel and attach a balloon pump.
5. Blow up the balloon.
6. Shake to check that you can hear the seeds inside the balloon.
7. Knot the balloon.
8. Choose your planting spot.
9. Poise your balloon.
10. JUMP!
Job done - seeds planted!

I also learned all about the work that Rosie had been leading on the Early Years Collaborative. Fabulous well thought out project with real benefits for children and data!

What a fab day - and then on to the parentals. I loved my day - it's been a long time since I had good quality CPD - and it didn't cost a bean!
