.......... I had every intention of going to visit mum this morning - got everything ready, made myself some lunch to take then, as I have been advised to do, phoned the care home to check that it was ok and was gutted when they said they have COVID in the unit and I couldn’t go.
Mum is fine at the moment ( she is not one of the 3 residents who have tested positive) and when my brother visited at the weekend he said she looked much better than the last time he saw her and she seemed happy, which is good to hear............ I only hope it stays that way.
I assume they will be trying to keep the 3 who tested positive isolated from the others but I can’t even begin to imagine how difficult that must be in a dementia unit ........... I’m just keeping everything crossed.
