Walking in Ayrshire

Had to be a collage of our lovely day.

The HG had been walking yesterday and I didn't think he would want to walk today..... but I did..... and he was willing, so we headed to Maidens in the morning and had lunch there.  Then walked along through the caravan site to the steps leading up to the Colzean estate, climbed them and walked up to the Swan Pond.  It was very busy, looked like a busload of day trippers although I am not sure.  

We stopped for a break there, and the HG had ice cream.  Then we walked on and up to the castle, which was also busy.  Had a lovely break there sitting with a sea view.  Then we walked all the way back.  By the time we finished we had walked five miles, which I was pleased with.

A quick drink of juice and then the journey home, which was very busy with the motorway clogged at times.  However, we had the chicken curry to look forward to as I had made it yesterday and it was waiting in the fridge.  Just the rice to cook and we had a nice meal.  And enough to freeze for another day!

Have to congratulate the English Lionesses on their spectacular win against Sweden last night.  I only saw the highlights but they did so well.  Good luck for the final too.
