Eastwood

Up early to give Fletch his pre breakfast stroll. He set off to his usual spot which in previous visits has been lush green grass. 
Last weeks heatwave has burnt it away apart from a strip against the wall.

Apparently last night's fire alarm going off isnt  unusual!  But luckily it didnt go off again.

Breakfast and then off to Burnt Stump Wood. A slight detour as the road up from the hotel is closed and the detour went through a long street full of potholes and speed bumps. 

As always, the walk round the wood was very relaxing. There were a lot of fallen leaves and some some dead plants  Not surprising  as the temperature reached 40 degrees here last week. A more pleasant 22 degrees today.

We then went on to Greenwoods Bonsai. We had a  good natter and a wander round but left Ms bonsai to collect tomorrow.  It's looking good and Corin spent about 8 hours working on it,  in total.

As it went a  bit overcast we decided to call at the retail park for a quick look in M& S etc, but of course by the time wed driven down there the sun had come out and it was really too hot to consider leaving Fletch in the car. So M had a quick 10 minutes wander while I sat with Fletch then I'd a quick wander. Before going back to the hotel , which was only 5 minutes away. 
It's not that we needed anything but it's now a novelty to have any large shops to  browse round . 

Much nicer to have a wander round the hotel's large grounds which is what we did .

Another nice meal and then a pre bedtime stroll with Fletch around the grounds. Extra shows the sunset .

I always feel a bit stressed prior to going away but now I'm here it's very relaxing!
