Rest in Peace, Dear Harvey

I learned last night that the man who was my cross-the-road neighbor for over 20 years passed away last Friday at 87.  His wife died when I was in Scotland in 2011.  This is the photo I did of him in 2008 for my book, "First Person Rural", standing by his barn with his beloved Tiger Lilies.  I wrote in August 2019 about how, when he had to sell the house and move into a nursing home, his Tiger Lilies moved across the street and sprung up in my dooryard.  They are just beginning to bloom now.  A day of remembrance of this wonderful man who loved to tell me how he served in the US army in Germany with Elvis Presley.  Rest in Peace, dear Harvey.
